The best way to fight invasive plants is to know where they are and stop their spread. In an effort to begin tracking invasive plants in Cook County, Sugarloaf is assembling a team of citizens willing to watch and record invasives in the county. This information will be used by state, local and private organizations to track the spread of species and decide on the proper action to take.
Please join our effort to be good stewards of the North Shore by helping track and stop invasives before they become an ecological and economic problem in the county. To get started, download the North Shore Weed Watcher handbook.
Once you have read through the handbook, you can report an invasive species.
